I have known John H. Leavitt first as a friend, and then as a real estate professional for almost 20 years. Mr. Leavitt and his wife became my neighbors across the street in the mid 1990's. Since he began his career in real estate it has been my privilege, as an attorney, to work with him in a number of real estate transactions for both buyers and sellers. John Leavitt was our broker for 2 house sales, and also as our buyer broker when we were house-hunting. John always made whatever time was necessary to see as many houses as possible. If you're selling a house, he gives you a very honest assessment of what needs to be fixed or done to sell your house, and is very accurate with market pricing. He often hosts a broker-only luncheon at your house, to expose you house to as many local brokers as possible before putting it on the market. When buying a house, he can immediately spot flaws in houses and gives you an estimate of what financial impact such a flaw would have on a bid or in a repair if you purchase that house. I would recommend John to be your broker whether buying or selling.
